National Instruments, the provider of platform-based systems that enable engineers and scientists to solve the world’s greatest engineering challenges, is pleased to announce the availability of NI-XNET 2023 Q1. The NI-XNET driver supports access to high-speed serial buses such as CAN/LIN/FlexRay by putting the actual bus logic and device reading/writing in dedicated hardware outside the PC.
NI-XNET is an NI instrument driver that features a common set of easy-to-use functions for reading and writing Automotive Ethernet, CAN, LIN, and FlexRay frames and signals in many different platforms including PXI, PCI, NI CompactDAQ, and NI CompactRIO. NI-XNET CAN, LIN, and FlexRay interfaces are optimized for applications requiring real-time, high-speed manipulation of hundreds of CAN frames and signals, such as hardware-in-the-loop simulation, rapid control prototyping, bus monitoring, and automation control.
Embedded networks like CAN, LIN, and FlexRay can be found in a number of different applications and settings. Whether it is in the lab for desktop testing and verification, in a vehicle for mobile communication, in-vehicle logging, or for end of line manufacturing test, choosing the right hardware and software tools is becoming more and more important.
Since 1976, National Instruments empowers engineers and scientists with a software-centric platform that incorporates modular hardware and an expansive ecosystem. This proven approach puts users firmly in control of defining what they need to accelerate their system design within test, measurement and control. NI’s solution helps build high-performance systems that exceed requirements, quickly adapt to change and ultimately improve the world.
