Michi’s debut album Dirty Talk – produced by Blake Rhein (of Durand Jones & the Indications) and Paul Cherry – sees the Latinx singer-songwriter embrace a sound that’s true to her authentic self: fun-loving, romantic, vulnerable, and sexually confident.
The album came together when Michi moved from LA to a small seaside town, where she was able to grow into herself and land on a sound that felt true to herself and the stories she wanted to tell. Blending eras and styles, Michi draws inspiration from the R&B divas of the ’90s and early ‘00s and the warm sounds of lowrider soul.
