During his time with the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra (SWR) Roger Norrington succeeded in an ambitious project: His performances with a modern symphony orchestra were to be based on historically informed performance practices. The results were enlightening and inspiring, not least on this Dvoák album. Sir Roger Norrington is among the most renowned conductors of our time. He celebrates his 85th birthday in March 2019.
