Rock, New Wave, Punk
Seriously, I can’t argue with that – and back in 1977 it probably stank even worse. Luckily Disco Zombies lived far away enough (in Leicester) to not be affected by the stench. They were a chirpy, upbeat post-punk five-piece with a storied history and songs called things like ‘Top of the Pops’ and ‘Punk a-go-go’. One of them ended up discovering Blur a bit later down the line. This double-album collects all their best bits, proving that if you made music between the years of 1977 and 1982, just wait long enough and someone will give it the deluxe reissue package at some point.
