ChemCAD是一个可广泛应用于化学和石油工业丶炼油丶油气加工等领域中的工艺过程的计算机模拟应用软件，是工程技术人员用来对连续丶半连续或间歇操作单元进行物料平衡和能量平衡核算的有力工具。通过ChemCAD可以在计算机上建立与现场装置吻合的数据模型，并通过运算模拟装置的稳态或动态运行，为工艺开发丶工程设计以及优化操作提供理论指导。ChemCAD现在有50多个通用单元操作模型，用户还可以根据需要建立自己的模型。ChemCAD可以将各个单元操作组织起来，形成整个车间或全厂的流程图，进而完成整个流程的模拟计算。
