玩家在这里扮演的是一名叫做Abigail的小女孩的幽灵，她的幽灵从坟墓醒来，回到自己的家，黑木宅。玩家可以操控她穿过墙壁，飞来飞去，不过着同样也会带来一些不便，你无法使用任何实体物体，既然你能穿墙，自然也能穿过任何其他实体不是?

《Goetia》设定在1941年，建筑采用维多利亚风格，地图周围有许多遗迹，洞穴，树林和一座废弃的村庄。你已经死了40年，为什么现在突然回来?整个游戏流程本身也是在引导玩家回答这个问题。
