《两个世界2》是奇幻RPG游戏《两个世界》的续作。　2代游戏的故事依旧架构在虚拟的奇幻大陆Antaloor，这个世界以中线的河流做为分界，彼此过着和平的生活，但是南岸的兽人一直想要侵袭北方大陆，占领整个世界，北方大陆则集结了人类、精灵、矮人等许多善良的种族，群起对抗兽人族，也就是字面上的 “两个世界”的主要意义。

2代的故事发生在1代的几年之后，游戏将带领你走进Antaloor东部大陆，探索未知的神秘领域，在这里你将发现许多全新的场景，比如沙漠和神庙。该系列游戏自由度相当高，除了主线任务之外，支线任务也相当丰富，而且每个支线任务对主角日后的影响也不相同，在你完成某个任务之后，也许另一个任务就无法进行了，甚至你在某些地区会被攻击。如果你常常帮助某些邪恶的NPC完成任务，那就会让你臭名远播，导致有些村庄不欢迎你；另外，如果在之前的任务中没有杀死某些NPC ，之后玩家反而可以向他接取任务，玩家可以依照自己的喜好来完成各种支线剧情。除了任务，培育角色的自由度也很高，例如玩家可以让你的人物用各种方式杀死对方，像是暗杀、射杀、设置陷阱等等，而当你设置陷阱或暗杀时，潜行藏匿、或是设置陷阱的技巧就会提升，当然也有开锁、施法等一般美式RPG的基本设定。采用动作方式进行的战斗系统同样有许多变化，玩家可以多绕点路，偷袭怪物，让他跟著你乱绕，或是在战斗时，踢地下的沙子，让怪物的眼睛瞎掉等等，只是怪物也会运用这些技巧来攻击玩家，如果是地城或是群聚的怪物，还会呼朋引伴，或是边逃边叫伙伴，玩家战斗时可要多加留意。游戏中也有许多制作的能力，例如炼金术能让玩家做出各种药水或毒药，毒药通常可以拿来涂毒或丢向对方，而多样化的药水则可以拿来喝，虽然喝多了会有少许副作用，但对游戏的进行还是有很大的帮助，所以看到地上的花花草草，没事就拔一拔吧！拿它来和怪物尸首或眼球等物品合成，就可以制作出各种特殊药水。
