What’s new in NX 2306 Series
Here are some of the enhancements that you’re going to love:
Design
Core Modeling: The core modeling capabilities of NX continue to improve in key areas, including feature templates and algorithmic modeling. In NX 2306 it is now possible to use both the traditional and the new sketch environment the same part.
NX for Building Information Modeling: The Building Information Modeling (BIM) add-on application introduced in NX 2212 has now been granted IFC certification
NX Performance Predictor: The new NX Performance Predictor module lets you do real time structural simulation as part of your design process, a meshless simulation solution built on top of the NX modeling environment giving real time feedback on performance as you change a model.
NX Design Sustainability Impact Analysis: Now understand the impact of material and product design decisions on your products sustainability key performance indicators. Leverage the HD3D visual reporting framework to see the results of material selection directly in the modeling environment.
Manufacturing
Important new capabilities and enhancements have been introduced in NX CAM, enabling faster programming and optimized machining operations. The new Cloud Tool Manager in NX CAM uses modern web-based technology to easily manage tools and holders. Additionally, you can import tool data directly from tool vendors’ catalogs, minimizing manual input and accelerating NC programming. Quickly position both the workpiece and fixtures on the machine using new interactive capabilities. Automatically calculate the shape of the turning tool holder using advanced collision checking functions, enabling safe operations. For more accurate toolpath analysis, NX provides new measuring capabilities. The extract cut area function enables reuse of selected geometry for a 3-axis milling operation for subsequent operations applied to the same region, reducing programming time.
Additive Manufacturing
This release of NX continues our focus on improving the efficiency of setting up production of additively manufactured parts in NX. New capabilities include the ability to create sinter boxes to group and segment parts within a build tray to protect fragile parts or keep parts from being lost or separated. Nesting of parts in the build tray has been enhanced to include nesting of part groups, and visualization of the build tray now includes the ability to easily hide and show specific types of geometry like supports. These capabilities build upon the integrated solutions in NX for printing parts, and they allow you to execute your prints successfully and more efficiently than ever before
