Oberheim DMX 忠实地再现了原版设备的音效，甚至包含了 1981 年推出时的所有板载音效，以及 1983 年左右推出的音效。此外，还收集了来自 Oberheim DX 的内容，以及包括 Sequential Circuits 的 DrumTraks 在内的许多其他替代乐器。
