在遥远的科罗拉多山脉，Massive山精神病院的恐怖在等着你。一间废弃了很久的精神病患者之家重新开业，幕后老板为一家名叫Murkoff公司的跨国企业的“研究和慈善”分部。它一直在秘密地运作着，直到现在……
根据这间公司内部的线报，独立记者Miles Upshur闯入这个精神病研究设施，他发现了一个处于科学、宗教、自然和某种永恒之物之间的恐怖秘密。进入之后，他要想逃出这里的希望只有揭露Massive山内部的秘密。
开发商Red Barrels于确认《逃生》首款DLC“告密者（Whistleblower）”将于今年5月份登陆PC和PS4平台。
Red Barrels在Facebook上面介绍说，“《告密者》中玩家将会扮演一位软件工程师Waylon Park，受雇于Murkoff向全世界的记者发送新闻邮件（包括原作主角Miles）。在不被允许和家人说话的情况下，Waylon和家人一起在Mount Massive度过了难熬的几周，并开始对这帮利益至上的科学家和医生产生了极大的不信任。Waylon决定亲自解开Mount Massive的腐化核心。”
《告密者》是原作的前传性质的DLC，将会解开原作中的一些遗留问题。
