The software developer Tecplot, Inc. is pleased to announce the availability of Focus 2022 R1 (2022.1.0.14449) is a powerful tool for visualizing a wide range of technical data. It offers line plotting, 2D and 3D surface plots in a variety of formats, and 3D volumetric visualization.

– The Contour Legend Header now supports LaTeX formatting. Note that the LaTeX rendered in these headers are image-based.
Bug Fixes
– Fixed a crash when showing streamtraces and altering the solution time.
– Fixed an issue on Linux platforms where FFmpeg based exports were hanging when running 360 in the background.
– Fixed a crash when attempting to use keyframe animations in 2D Cartesian mode.
– Fixed an issue where the RLM log file was not displaying the correct product version.
– Fixed an issue affecting macOS and Linux platforms where Focus would crash after a disconnect from the license server and the license timing-out.
– Numerous documentation improvements.
Build Changes
Tecplot Focus for Linux is now built on CentOS 7.9 and uses the Qt 5.15.2 GUI toolkit. Due to this change you need to be aware of the following:
– Tecplot Focus may crash when remotely accessing a Linux machine due to insufficient OpenGL support via X-Servers. If this is encountered, use –mesa when running Tecplot Focus interactively and – osmesa when running Tecplot Focus in batch.
