Description
Hey everyone and welcome to my ZBrush Portrait Sculpt! In this tutorial, aimed at intermediate to advanced ZBrush users, I will take you through my process of portrait sculpting: from the ZBrush block-in right to the render setup and lighting in Blender, we will walk through anatomy faults to avoid and different ways to improve your portrait sculpts to get them to the next level you’ve been aiming for!I look forward to our journey together!Regards,Thivolan Moodley.##########################################################################################FAQ:Is this tutorial for BEGINNERS?NO! This course is recommended for intermediate to advanced ZBrush users seeking ways to sculpt and further refine their portraiture anatomy and skills; you can, if you are ready to start your Zbrush journey, checkout my beginners course also available on UDEMY!Do you use Timelapses in this series?Yes I do! Woah, woah, hang on, don’t leave just yet! Yes, i know, people absolutely hate timelapses in tutorials but like I said before, “this is for intermediate to advanced users.” And trust me when i say you DO NOT WANT to see each line drawn when you already know where its going and why; this is just a waste of time for both you and me. I do slow the vidoes down to real time when I’m covering new techniques or explaining something I feel needs better understanding of and once thats been cleared up the videos are sped up to a reasonable speed (3x to 4x). I intend to teach you my portrait sculpting process in ZBrush at a pace thats demands progress and dynamic thinking…What 3d modelling techniques do you cover specifically?Surprisingly enough, most of the organic sculpting will consist of simple techniques and brushes, nothing fancy… But as this course is more for users who are familiar with anatomy and the ZBrush program, I will cover more advanced topics and techniques used to achieve some parts like the clothing and eyes; i do explain some of these techniques in greater depth as we progress through the series. Can i contact you if i need advice or get stuck on a particular part of the sculpt?Of course! You can contact me on Udemy, social media etc. I’m still a little on the fence…No worries; all my courses come with a 30 day money back guarantee AND i also have a free speed sculpt version of this course available online! Can I 3D print this?Yes! As long as you know how to prepare and 3D print something (I do not cover that here as it is a separate subject). I do, however, mention areas that might pose a problem and how to fix it if you are 3d printing it within the series videos… Its also quite a simple sculpt so most of the parts are already quite solid.##########################################################################################A summary of each part and what to expect:Part 1 (Zbrush):This is where we will spend most of our time, blocking out, refining and detailing the sculpt to get it ready for the rendering, lighting and composition in Blender. We will also go through some basic anatomy before the sculpt to prepare you for the road ahead!Part 2 (Blender):This will be the part in which i show you some basic lighting, rendering and general settings for Blender to achieve the poster shots you see in the finals. My Background:Hey guys, Thivolan Moodley here.
