iTwin Analytical Synchronizer 2023
This release of iTwin Analytical Synchronizer adopts a new year-based naming consistent with industry practice. Major enhancements include emphasis in Cloud workflows, dedicated Analytical Design Review experience supporting both Concrete and Steel elements, PT Profile review mode, major enhancements for REVIT users and a new packaged installer allowing REVIT users to immediately participate in iTwin Analytical workflows. Stability and usability are also improved.

REVIT
This update of iTwin Analytical Synchronizer resolves a clash in assemblies between external add-ins (such as REVIT Dynamo) and the iTwin Services experience within REVIT. The resolution for the aforementioned involves the iTwin Services Sidebar to be “undocked” in REVIT.
iTwin Services Sidebar
The iTwin Services sidebar is present in all iTwin Analytical applications. This update improves the about screen with more useful information including ability to quickly ascertain the relevant API versions and access to Logs. This feature helps our support staff to diagnose faults and crashes.
Analytical Design Review
Within Tendon Visualization in Analytical Design Review, the selected tendon properties pane is now more intuitive to use.
1. Select Tendon Visualization mode.
2. Select Tendon On screen in the 3D viewer.
3. [New] Tendon properties pane showing the properties of the tendon segments. Properties are grouped whenever possible.
Bug fixes
– Double L shapes are now supported in iModels.
– Fixed Beam alignment in iModels.
Security, Maintenance and Stability fixes
This update also includes many security and stability fixes. As with general practice, API releases are supported for at least 3 years. Currently ISM API 8, 8.1, and 9.1 are supported.

To meet those challenges, structural engineers need tools that allow them to complete their work more efficiently and collaborate with project stakeholders more effectively. Bentley Systems iTwin Services, which are now integrated with the STAAD and RAM products, offer the solution. By taking advantage of iTwin features specifically designed for collaboration and change management, users can track changes, complete design reviews, and coordinate with team members directly from their structural models without switching to another application. This close integration between the STAAD and RAM products and the iTwin features limits disruption, increases productivity, and improves communication.
iTwin Analytical Synchronizer, formerly Structural Synchronizer, enables structural designers to share structural engineering information among different software applications. The Synchronizer functionality in the iTwin Services sidebar window collects the engineering information from the design application and stores it in a sync model, or iTwin, which can either be saved as a local file (*.ism, *.dgn) on the user’s machine or as a federated, cloud-based repository (iModel).
The following chart maps the applications that can be linked with iTwin Analytical Synchronizer. Note that the connected applications include Bentley Structural, Offshore, and Pipe Stress products (STAAD, RAM, SACS, and AutoPIPE), other Bentley analysis products like PLAXIS, specialized Bentley products like OpenBuildings Designer and ProStructures, and even third-party applications like Revit.
