世嘉日前发布了《罗马2：全面战争》皇帝版，在原版的基础上增加了一些新内容，并改善了某些特性。

   该版本包含了之前发行的所有免费内容，当然还有一个全新的战役扩展包，奥古斯都大帝。

   开发商Creative Assembly表示“奥古斯都大帝”扩展包通过新地图增加了数百小时的游戏时间，背景主要设定在后三头同盟战争期间，在这其中将见证屋大维、马克·安东尼和雷必达争夺罗马统治者的情节。玩家可以以罗马或者非罗马派别进行战役，并且游戏还首次引入了亚美尼亚阵营。

   新版还有改进的政治系统、重新整理的建筑链系统以及平衡过的战斗系统，当然战斗中的显示效果也得到了改善。
