For his new album, Ludwig Güttler has compiled what he considers to be the most beautiful and contemplative Christmas songs. Although a musical Christmas as we know it – with full churches and making music together – will be difficult this year, Güttler’s music brings us together in a different, very intimate way. With 36 wonderful Christmas carols and arrangements by Vivaldi, Beethoven, Schmelzer, Liszt and many others, the great trumpeter gives hope for better times and revels in memories of Christmas in his homeland, the Erzgebirge.
