In this episode on lighting fundamentals, Lori and Ed visit a client’s beautiful, upscale home outside of Chicago. The subjects are 3 teenage sisters who are photographed in a variety of locations, poses, groupings and individual portraits. The emphasis is on utilizing natural light. In the home, everything is done with available window light using only a reflector to open the shadows. Lori and Ed then move to the backyard where Ed demonstrates how to scout beautiful locations with studio quality lighting and executes both group and individual portraits.
