《Rise of Venice》为《大航海家》及《海商王》系列游戏开发商Kalypso Media最新策略游戏作品。光谱资讯近日宣布取得《Rise of Venice》繁体中文版代理权，并于台港澳地区发行。游戏中文名称正式定名为《威尼斯：商业崛起》，预计与英文版同步上市。
《威尼斯：商业崛起》不仅仅是一款商业模拟游戏，还融入了政治模拟的成分，玩家除了要建立商船队致力于赚取财富，同时还要努力获得「十人议会（Council of 10）」的支持，成就政治生涯。「十人议会」是威尼斯的一个组织，既可以使你的仕途一路顺风，也能毁了你的所有努力。
玩家在游戏中将扮演一名为了成功、权利和财富而努力的年轻人。在家人的帮助下，玩家开始着手建立一个横跨热那亚、的黎波里、罗马、亚历山大港、君士坦丁堡以及其他文艺复兴时期重要城市的商业帝国。通过在威尼斯跻身到上流社会，以及日益增长的商业能力和知名度，玩家就可以开始打造属于自己的船队了。接着，还能够拥有新的生产设备，同时透过海战来检验自己的实力，一步步迈向海上霸主之路。
