继《弹珠游戏》之后，出自独立工作室“Tribute Games”的最新作品，是一款很多骨灰级横版关卡爱好者都会感到亲切的游戏——《Mercenary Kings（暂译：佣兵之王）》。

乍看之下，这部《佣兵之王》就好像是一款向《合金弹头》致敬的模仿之作——而某程度上，它确实是！只不过，Tribute Games还加载了一些比较近代的RPG元素进去：合成。

每个关卡都布满或多或少的零件和物资，玩家可以随意收集，合成出不同的武器，或甚至细致的武器配件。据Tribute在介绍视频中表示，“各式各样的武器制定可谓数之不尽，有无穷的可能。”

《佣兵之王》将登陆PC，其他平台仍然在考虑中。顺带一提，它将会支援4人协力模式。
