This course is about creating understanding and setting a context for learning by understanding the difference between “learning” and “knowing.”

The nature of this course explores conversation. The way we can become effective communicators is to learn what it is were actually saying. When we know what were saying then we understand how we see the world. To put it another way: through the understanding of language and how we see the world we can choose to engage in full, rich, satisfying conversations with others.

When we learn how to improve our communication skills through the speech acts, we become skilled at conversation.
