作为原作的产品商，Stainless正式从Square Enix方面重新购回了《死亡赛车》系列品牌。Stainless是经典PC游戏《死亡赛车》的开发商。
“《死亡赛车》重回了它的原创开发商，此刻以全新作吸引全新玩家群也是非常棒的。”Stainless联合创建人&首席执行官Patrick Buckland说道。
Stainless联合创建人Neil Barnden补充道：“《死亡赛车：再生》将包含系列同样的黑色幽默和漫画风格的暴力元素。”
“所有的乐点，超强的能力强化，和破坏元素将回归。我们将同时吸引系列玩家和全新玩家群。”
另外，开放商表示需要玩家与业界投资至少40W美元，帮助他们制作更好的作品，因为他们是独立工作室。

《死亡赛车：再生》将作为下载游戏发行，登陆PC平台。
