《猎天使魔女》是一个第三人称动作游戏，白金工作室开发，世嘉发行，游戏最初在日本发售（2009年10月），登陆了Xbox 360和PS3平台，后来于2010年1月登陆了北美和欧洲。之后又被移植到Wii U。到了2017年，本作又被移植到了PC Steam平台。续作《猎天使魔女2》是Wii U独占，2014年9月发售，登陆了日本，2014年10月登陆了北美和欧洲。

《猎天使魔女》从2007年1月开始开发，游戏总监是神谷英树。据神谷透露，游戏“全部是原创”，但也借鉴了北欧神话和《鬼泣4》。游戏发售后取得了很高的评价，游戏的战斗，表现手法和音乐被广泛称赞，但因为故事和QTE也被很多玩家吐槽。2010年《猎天使魔女》销量超过了135万套，但白金工作室对这个成绩很失望。
