Microsoft Azure is a set of independent services helping you to create secure, reliable, scalable, and highly available cloud apps.This course explains the various services and details how they relate to one another and then focuses on Microsoft Azure Cloud Services. Cloud Services is Microsoft’s Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering. This course describes how to create your own app and then deploy and manage it within an Azure datacenter. 

The course focuses on billing, how to configure and manage the virtual machines your code runs on. It also details many of features Cloud Services offer to your app. The course also compares the various mechanisms allowing you to update your app’s code. A lot of attention is spent on guidelines and best practices related to building scalable and efficient applications in a cost-effective way.
