Max Cookie – Truck on fire

In this video for 3ds max well take a look at how we can create a truck on fire using FumeFX to simulate the flames and the smoke column.

What well do
In Truck on fire tutorial well use FumeFX and 3ds max 2013 to simulate a truck on fire. Well start using a simple proxy truck model and well use PFlow to add some particles coming out from a sub-selection of its faces. Tweaking some parameters about particle life and speed well obtain a nice driver for the fluid simulation. Well use two FumeFX volumes one for fire and the 2nd one for the smoke because well use different turbulence and sim params. Well add a wind to have a little bit of chaos on the smoke and well use wavelet sim to add more details on both.
