The Tekla team introduced new update version of its software for structural engineering, fabrication and construction teams—Tekla Structures 2017i SP7. This update contain new features, and improvements and fixes to existing features.
About Tekla Structures 2017i. Tekla Structures is a building information modeling software able to model structures, such as high-rise office or residential buildings. This software is widely used in the building and construction industries for steel and concrete detailing, precast and cast in-situ. The software enables users to create and manage 3D structural models in concrete or steel, and guides them through the process from concept to fabrication.Tekla allows structural drafters and engineers to design a building structure and its components using 3D modeling, generate 2D drawings and access building information.
The Tekla Structures 2017i arrives with improvements and fixes – be it drawings, collaboration, or modeling complex geometries or reinforcement.
Create more complete drawings faster and take advantage of the benefits of the enhanced Layout and Template editors, DWG export functionality and Drawing snapshots.
The new Spiral Beam makes modeling structures such as spiral shaped stairs quick and easy, regardless of the material. Working with steel bent plates is now easier than ever. Precast concrete Floor and Wall Layout and the flexible, intelligent method for modeling and modifying reinforcement have been improved.
Tekla Model Sharing is now even more robust than before. New tools on top of Trimble’s collaboration platform, Trimble Connect, allow effective, model and cloud-based supply chain management between Tekla Structures and Trimble Connect.
